Agency and our emotions

Working with community is difficult, with decisions to be made, work to do, and often conflicts. Understanding our emotions, and having the agency to learn from our emotions to respond to situations in ways that align with our values, is a key skill to working in groups for a better world. This workshop will present skills and frameworks for understanding, learning from, and responding with agency, with a lot of time for practice and discussion. On unceded Wurundjeri Country. Wheelchair accessible venue. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are experimenting with setting up an reciprocal exchange for these workshops. We want everyone to be able to attend the workshop without a cost barrier, while also making sure that we all value the workshop, the time put in to organise it, and the time each of us as facilitators and participants are putting in to make it happen. To do this we are asking what each of you can contribute. If you can't contribute at this time that is completely fine, we still want you to come along! If you can contribute, it would be great if you could reply to this email and let us know what you can do. Here is a list of things we think would be great, and we are open to other ideas! • Bring some snacks • Stay after the workshop to help pack up • Donate some cash for catalyst, • Sign up as a subscriber for the Catalyst Social Centre (information attached) • Share the Catalyst Social Centre subscriber drive with a friend or two (information attached) • Run a course for the school sometime in the future • Something else!
