Boroondara Seniors Film Festival - The Truffle Hunters - Lido

This critically acclaimed documentary is a beautiful, wistful film set deep in the forests of Piedmont, Italy, where a handful of ageing men hunt for the rare and highly prized white Alba truffle. Offering a fascinating glimpse into two contrasting worlds: the luxury of the high-end truffle trade and the quiet, authentic lives of traditional truffle hunters. Sharing the hunters enduring and moving bond with both their natural world and their loyal dogs, this film captures a vanishing way of life with warmth, intimacy, and respect.
