Casey Childbirth education-Labour, Birth & Baby: Saturday 10th of Oct, 2026

Monash Health offers a comprehensive one-day childbirth education session for first time parents who are birthing at Casey hospital. You may only book programs at the hospital that you are birthing at. The program is conducted face to face at the hospital, over one Saturday. This session will be facilitated by a midwife educator, offering the opportunity for asking questions and discussions. We encourage you and your partner or support person to attend. The program aims to cover topics such as: • What is labour • When to call the hospital • Things the birthing woman and their support person can assist them with in labour - at home and in the hospital • Informed Consent and refusal • Medical options for pain relief in hospital • Medical intervention and care • Newborns' communication and adaption after birth • Initiating breastfeeding • Becoming a new parent • Safety at home We recommend you look as soon as possible and select and pay for a program that you will attend when you are around 28-32 weeks pregnant. All bookings are through Humanitix. Please complete the booking using the birthing woman's name. You and your partner are encouraged to attend. Cost $ 150.00/ticket. One ticket is for two people. The session runs from 8.30am- 4.00pm and will be held at Casey Hospital Kangan Drive, Berwick. Refunds Refunds will only be considered if you request a refund through your original booking on Humanitix. Refunds will not be considered if you choose to book later in your pregnancy, than the recommended 28-32 weeks. Refunds will not be given once the program has commenced. If you request a refund/cancellation, we cannot guarantee a place in another program
