Celestial Bodies & Queer Idols - Jarrad Levy Debut Exhibition Opening Night

Join us for the opening night of Celestial Bodies & Queer Idols - the debut exhibition of Photographic Artist Jarrad Levy. Captured in the first 3 years of his time in Naarm (Melbourne), these portraits capture queer artists, advocates and space-makers that have left an imprint on the artist's identity and understanding of what community means. Enter into an immersive warehouse space where familiar faces of the queer world take on otherworldly personas, drawing inspiration from folklore and characters of the night sky to interpret looking up to the stars as looking inward to your community for guidance. Along with the work on display, there will be several performance pieces from featured queer artists running from 8PM. 5 minutes walk from the 86 tram line or Bell Station, Apax Warehouse is accessed via an alleyway next to 34 Garnett St, Preston. Signage and directions will be visible on the day to aid with access to the venue. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE While wheelchair accessible, the venue is situated at the end of a cobblestone alley that may be difficult to traverse alone with mobility issues.
