What’s it all about? Chikankari is a very old traditional embroidery technique also known as Shadow Work. This ancient art form was introduced to India during the Mugal era in 16th Century and is still practiced in the Northern India. Originally this work was done on white fabrics using white threads creating a surreal effect especially on sheer fabrics.
