Participants must sign up as Craig Family Centre members to access free programs. Priced at $15 p/year for your family. Membership ends 31/12/2026. Concession rates apply. Culture Club Celebrate your culture, share your story, and connect with others. Culture Club is a welcoming fortnightly social group that brings people together to celebrate the rich diversity of our community. Held after our Cooking Club sessions, this relaxed and friendly gathering provides an opportunity for participants to share aspects of their culture, language, traditions, and experiences while learning about the cultures of others. Participants are encouraged to bring along anything that helps tell their story—traditional clothing, cultural items, photographs, music, language, recipes, celebrations, or customs that are meaningful to them. There is no pressure to present or speak publicly; simply coming along to listen, learn, and connect is equally valued. Whether you are newly arrived in Australia, have lived here for many years, or simply enjoy learning about different cultures, Culture Club offers a safe and inclusive space to build friendships, share experiences, and foster understanding across communities. For migrants and people living away from their country of origin, the group provides an opportunity to reconnect with cultural traditions, celebrate identity, and meet others who understand the experience of building a life in a new place. It is also a wonderful way to reduce social isolation, strengthen community connections, and create a sense of belonging. Led by a public health advocate with a passion for community wellbeing, Culture Club is designed to be a culturally safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where every participant's story, background, and lived experience is valued.
