Discovering Dogs II (7 - 12 years) Spring

You’ll view the animals waiting for new homes and learn all about how interpreting animal behaviour can keep us safe and keep dogs comfortable. This program is available to participants aged 7 – 12 years What you will learn • Learn all about dog behavior, needs and training • Learn about dog breeds and how the RSPCA cares for dogs • Create treat puzzles for dogs What you will get • Certificate of attendance and mini gift bag! What to bring • Lunch, snack and a drink bottle What to wear • Closed in shoes for admittance into the barn • Weather appropriate clothing • A sun hat for outdoor activities NB: All programs are delivered and facilitated by qualified staff and do not require that parents/guardians stay during the session. If you feel that your child needs additional support, please discuss with a member of our team. Sessions may include the following activities: • Tour of the Burwood East adoption facilities • Opportunities to make enrichment items for animals • Meet and greet with education dogs • Viewing of animal videos at lunch time. Please note that not all activities involve animals. RSPCA’s education animals are carefully selected for their suitability for education programs and are given choice and control throughout all interactions with visitors.
