Echoes of Song

This recital explores the cello as a singer without words. From Chopin's deeply lyrical Etude op. 25 no. 7, originally written for piano, to Schubert's beloved Arpeggione Sonata, a work renowned for its beautiful song-like qualities, this program highlights the instrument's unique ability to embody the human voice. The journey continues with Beethoven's Sonata for cello and piano in A major, op. 69, a monument of the cello literature and a true masterpiece of lyricism and sonata structure. Concluding the program is Piazzolla's Le Grand Tango, a fiery, virtuosic work in which song and dance collide, bringing the recital to a brilliant close.
