Fine & Good: Life Drawing at The Brunswick Green

Drop-in halloween life drawing – no experience necessary and all skill levels welcome. Fine & Good Life Drawing at The Brunswick Green FEMME FATALE: HALLOWEEN LIFE DRAWING Sunday, October 25th – 7-9 pm The Brunswick Green – 313 Sydney Road Model -Zena Join us for a dreamy evening of life drawing, where we’ll ring in 3 years of living art and community creativity at The Brunswick Green. Much as our first session in October 2023, we'll nod to the spooky season with an immersive scene for Halloween, featuring muse Zena as the femme fatale. Expect a darkly glamorous evening where we’ll step into a shadowy world of the unapologetic femme fatale. An immersive session inspired by the allure and mystique of the dangerous women of old cinema. A visual study of the high contrast drama of black-and-white film will come to life with a blend of live model and still life inspiration. Muse Zena will step into an old Hollywood tableau of sharp sillouhettes and possible clues to deadly secrets... suspicious vials, a bloodied knife, or a lipstick stain might tell the story of a crime already committed… or one still to come. We’ll meet in the cosy front room of The Brunswick Green at 7 pm sharp. Be sure to arrive with plenty of time to get a drink and set up with materials before the lights go low and the scene unfolds. Poses will range from shorter 5-minute warm-ups to longer 20-minute poses, giving you time to capture fleeting gestures, play with dramatic silhouettes and settle into the mood of the scene. There will be several breaks throughout the session to refill drinks, refresh materials and soak up the atmosphere. Come for an evening of drinks, drawing and escapism. No drawing experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome. Please be aware of life drawing etiquette and rules and expectations in spaces with live models. Important Notes: Sessions often sell out, and table seating is limited. It is important to arrive on time. Be sure to arrive before 7 to get settled with materials and secure a comfortable spot. If you arrive late you are required to wait for the first break to enter. Meta/smart glasses are strictly prohibited. Photography is prohibited unless otherwise noted at the start of a session.
