Guerilla Gardening Naarm Facilitation Workshop

Facilitation can be hard. It can make or break a meeting or change how everyone engages. But facilitation can also make a meeting great, share responsibility and engagement. Meetings are important to make sure everyone can participate, share ideas and collective make decisions and share responsibility. This workshop will unpack what facilitation is, what makes a good meeting, collective decision making and practical skills you can use in your facilitation practice. This is a workshop with Guerilla Gardening Naarm and Skills for Social Change. Funds raised will go towards resources for the workshop, Guerilla Gardening Naarm and 10% to paying the rent. What is Skills for Social Change? We are a project of workshops on some of the basic skills needed for social change to our collectives and communities; skills for conflict and facilitation. In 2026 we will be running two workshops per month; an introduction to conflict skills, and an introduction to facilitation and group decision making. We also may offer deeper dive workshops into these skills, and if collectives request we may offer workshops specifically for a collective. Who runs the project of Skills for Social Change? We are a group of facilitators, some with decades of experiences, some newer to the game. We have come together to provide regular free/very cheap workshops for communities of change makers in the hope to support thriving and effective movements for change. Contact us at [email protected]
