Limited to 10 spots to allow interaction time with our facilitator, Michael Tickets are $10 for members of Transition Darebin and $15 for the general public On the day, come along before 11am to allow time to get settled in. Michael will run through some electrical basics for lamps and show some examples of different types of lamps and cords can be replaced. Bring a small lamp if you would like to have a go on the day, or come along and learn what you need to repair a lamp at home. Cycling: bike parking available Who will be your host? Michael has been our lamp fixer for several years at the Darebin Repair cafe. He is also our resident test and tagger to check our appliances for safety. Who is Darebin Repair Cafe? Darebin Repair Cafe is a repair cafe volunteer group that are active in Darebin in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. we have been running repair cafes since 2018. We are part of the International Repair cafe foundation and also part of Transition Darebin. Who are Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes (DHRH)? DHRH is a not-for-profit group promoting and supporting reuse, repair, repurposing (upcycling) and recycling of preloved items through education and events. Keeping things in use and out of landfill.
