Building-monuments: Use and Presence. Hear from architect and academic Nyoah Rosmarin in a one-hour lecture about functional monuments at Incinerator Gallery followed by a viewing of Maribyrnong Bowls Club - both functional monuments that serve civic purpose and are emblematic of an era. "Monuments are weird things" says Rosmarin, who is drawn to these sites in Moonee Valley having previously studied architecture in Brisbane, Sydney and Milan and working in award-winning offices such as Candalepas Associates, Lovell Chen, and parvenu architectural. Rosmarin currently teaches at Monash University and has published several books and articles on architectural monuments.
