Join Study Melbourne for our final Student Experience Community of Practice for 2026. This session will be full of information to help your international students enjoy summer safely with exciting new beach programs, practical water-safety tips and plenty of fun. Hear from Dr Masaki Shibata, Monash University drowning-prevention expert and Japanese Australian lifesaver. A specialist in international student water safety, he’ll share practical ways to build students’ confidence around water. You’ll also meet the Life Saving Victoria team, pick up the latest advice and learn how to arrange a beach-safety session for your students. Plus, say hello to Beach Buddies—a free program where international students can get active, meet new people and feel more at home by the water. Think beach tennis, bodyboarding and water safety—all in one fun, welcoming and inclusive experience. Beach Buddies is proudly supported by Study Melbourne and delivered with Victoria Beach Tennis, Bodyboarding Victoria and Proud2Play. Morning tea provided
