Music & Makers

In August 2026, flash floods devastated northern Nepal and Tibet. Homes, schools and roads were swept away, displacing thousands. Rescue and rebuilding efforts are ongoing, weeks after the disaster, and will cost three billion AUD. With transport infrastructure gone, it's difficult to provide aid. This is where every cent counts. Music and Makers brings together four acts to support aid efforts by doing what Melburnians do best: supporting local music. All ticket sales from Music and Makers will be donated to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). They provide essential care for women and girls where it's hard to come by, including but not limited to reproductive care, family planning, etc. From UNFPA's website: Severe flash floods have devastated communities in Nepal, leaving thousands of families without safe access to essential services. Roads, bridges and health facilities have been damaged, making it increasingly difficult for women and girls to access the care they need. For pregnant women and those needing urgent reproductive health care, these disruptions can be life-threatening. UNFPA is deploying mobile health units, reproductive health supplies and psychosocial support to help women and girls receive essential care, even where health facilities are damaged or inaccessible.
