Play Phase Game On Golf Junior Academy @ The Furrows (Kingston Heath) and Cheltenham Golf Club

Play Phase – Term 4 Take your skills to the course. Play Phase is where our junior golfers begin putting everything they’ve learned into action on the golf course. Across a 6-week on-course program, students will play three weeks at Cheltenham Golf Club and three weeks at The Furrows at Kingston Heath, giving them the opportunity to experience two different golf courses and develop the skills needed to become confident, independent golfers. Term 4 Details Time: 3:30pm–5:00pm Duration: 6 weeks Venues: 3 weeks – Cheltenham Golf Club 3 weeks – The Furrows at Kingston Heath Progress Through Our 9-Level Tee System Play Phase uses Game On Golf’s 9-Level Tee System, designed to let children experience success on the golf course while progressively increasing the challenge. Rather than simply playing from traditional adult tees, students work their way through nine levels as their skills, confidence and understanding of the game develop. Throughout the term, players will learn to: • Take their practice skills onto the golf course • Progress through our 9-Level Tee System • Make smarter decisions and develop course management • Learn golf etiquette, safety and pace of play • Build confidence playing with other juniors • Keep score and understand different formats of golf • Develop independence and learn how to navigate the course • Have fun playing golf with their mates Who is Play Phase for? Play Phase is designed for juniors who are ready to spend more time actually playing the game. It provides the bridge between our skills-based academy sessions and more advanced Perform and competitive golf. Players don’t need to be highly accomplished golfers — the tee system allows each child to play from a level appropriate to their current ability. Our Goal We don’t want juniors to simply learn how to swing a golf club. We want them to learn how to play golf. That means making decisions, solving problems, managing different lies and situations, learning from mistakes and discovering how much fun the game can be. Play. Learn. Build confidence. Progress to the next level.
