Practical AI Adoption for Business: Where to Start

This workshop will focus on AI readiness and security, with a clear and practical approach to adoption. It is designed for non-technical business owners and operators who want to understand how to safely and effectively introduce AI into their business without feeling overwhelmed. In this workshop, you will learn: • AI adoption challenges and why AI matters including workforce expectations for employees seeking AI-fluent workplaces, and the risk of feeling left behind • Setting up for safety: checking how secure your current technical environment is, including data access, permissions, privacy and governance basics. • AI readiness: defining your business goals/strategy, identifying your motivation for using AI and getting clear on the outcomes you are seeking. • Where to start with AI adoption, including people, process and change management considerations. • Demonstration of a practical AI application using Microsoft Copilot, tailored to common SMB scenarios. (Most SMBs use Microsoft Licensing regardless of device type so this will be the most natural fit).
