Ready To Roll - Glen Eira

We all want the best for our kids and to see them growing up happy, healthy and with the tools they need to navigate high school and everything that comes with it. Building active travel into their everyday life, along with the independence and autonomy it develops, is one of the proven ways to do this Our popular Ready to Roll program supports students in Years 6-8 who'd like to be able to make local trips independently by bike. Whether its riding to school, getting to a part-time job, sports training or a friend's place; getting around by bike is proven to enhance independence, connection and mental and physical health in children while also having a positive effect on school grades. From 13 years onwards children in Victoria are required to ride on the road. This program covers the skills and strategies to assist them to do so safely. Ready to Roll is conducted over two consecutive mornings; Monday December 21st 8:30-11:30am Tuesday December 22nd 8:30-11:30am. Participants must be able to attend both full mornings in order to take part in the program.
