RISE For Life’s Bigger Lessons Thursdays | 4.30pm–6.00pm Starting 30 July 2026 The Joyful Place, Burwood For children aged 6–10* Some of life’s biggest lessons are not learnt from a worksheet. They are learnt through trying, helping, making mistakes, working with others, speaking up, solving problems and having the courage to try again. RISE is a weekly after-school membership for children aged 6–10*, designed to build character, confidence and real-world skills through meaningful experiences, team challenges, conversations, games and creative projects. Each month, children explore a different value or life skill — not just by talking about it, but by putting it into action. RISE is a place for children to grow in confidence, build stronger friendships, practise positive decision-making and discover what they are capable of. Term 3 Themes Responsibility Learning to do our part, take care of our things, own our mistakes and be helpful members of a team. Kindness Learning to use kind words, include others, share, take turns and make a positive difference. Term 4 Themes Perseverance Learning to face challenges, try again, work through mistakes and keep going when things feel hard. Gratitude Learning to notice the good around us, show appreciation and strengthen our connections with others. What Happens at RISE? Every 90-minute session may include: • Team challenges and cooperative games • Real-world scenarios and problem-solving • Creative projects and hands-on activities • Leadership and communication opportunities • Guided discussion and reflection • A warm, supportive small-group environment. Membership Options 4-Weeks Membership — $150 per month Includes weekly RISE sessions, all program materials and ongoing access to the RISE community. Joyful Mates Member Rate — $120 Joyful Mates receive 20% off their monthly RISE membership. Casual Trial Session — $45 A great way to experience RISE before joining as a member. Trial places are limited and subject to availability. Membership Information • RISE is an ongoing monthly membership, with new themes introduced throughout the year. • Membership renews automatically each month. • A minimum of 30 days’ written notice is required to cancel. • Places are limited to 10 children to maintain a connected, personalised small-group experience. • Please pack a small after-school snack and water bottle. About RISE RISE is a collaboration between The Joyful Place and Share-Learn. The program is led by Sharon from Share-Learn, whose passion for character development, confidence-building and meaningful learning sits at the heart of RISE. Together, we have created a space where children can practise the skills and values that matter — for school, friendships, family life and the bigger world beyond.
