Signature Scents: Make Your Perfume with Maria

As seasons change, so do the unique scents around us. Which is partly why, world over, humans find smell a very evocative sense that triggers memories and nostalgia. In this class you'll learn all about the composition of perfume: how to create blends of top, middle and base notes to combine into your very own signature perfume. Our sense of smell is so unique and personal, and whether you're a floral fan, or citrus enthusiast - or perhaps earthy and spicy! - you'll certainly find your fragrance amongst our array of natural essential oils. So if you've looking for an eco-friendly, vegan or natural perfume, come and join us for this much anticipated Laneway Learning workshop and make your own natural perfume! All materials provided. Please note: this workshop is NOT suitable for people who are pregnant or chestfeeding, or children. What will we cover? In this hands-on and informative class you will learn how to create your own natural perfume! We will also address any of your own perfume making questions. Together we will: • Learn about the natural perfume making process - top notes, middle notes and bottom notes. • Select from more than 50 different oils to construct your special scent. • Experiment, combine and create your own, unique fragrance. • Create your own natural perfume with pure essential oils. • Take home your top, middle and base note blends to top up your perfume roller. You'll then take home your own, unique roll-on perfume. Maria (she/her) is the general manager of Laneway Learning, a marketing expert and an addicted crafter. She considers herself a "community entrepreneur", coming up with ideas and events to connect, soothe and strengthen out communities. She loves science, particularly neuroscience and life long learning. She has studied law, marketing, communication, positive psychology and of course attended a myriad of Laneway Learning classes.
