STAPS presents Mavis and the Monsters - our 2026 School Production

St Andrews Primary School (STAPS) presents Mavis & the Monsters! Mavis & The Monsters follows four students, Max, Lucy, Ben and Nora, who become lost during a school camp and stumble upon the legendary Hotel Transylvania, a hidden hotel where monsters from around the world come to relax, celebrate and feel safe. As they explore the hotel, the students meet a colourful cast of characters including Dracula, Frankie, Wayne the Werewolf, Griffin the Invisible Man and a host of ghosts, skeletons and monster guests. What begins as a frightening encounter quickly turns into an unforgettable adventure as the students discover that monsters are not nearly as scary as the stories suggest. At the centre of the story is Mavis, Dracula's adventurous daughter, who dreams of seeing the world beyond the hotel walls. As she befriends the students, Mavis begins to question everything she has been taught about humans, while the students learn that monsters and people are not so different after all. When the fame obsessed monster hunter Vance Van Helsing threatens the safety of the hotel, humans and monsters must work together to protect their friends and prove that fear and misunderstanding can be overcome. Filled with humour, heart and spectacular dance numbers, Mavis & The Monsters is a celebration of friendship, courage and acceptance. The show reminds audiences that the things we fear are often not what they seem and that understanding begins when we look beyond appearance.
