Pre-race wetsuit swim at St Kilda, then coffee, food, a coaches chat and a fuelling chat with Carlton FC dietitian Emma Fielding. Racing Melbourne 70.3? Come swim with us the day before. We're kicking off Saturday morning with a wetsuit swim off the beach at St Kilda to shake out the nerves and get a feel for the water. Meet at the END of the ironman swim course (Pier Road) After the swim we're heading up to The Gallery at West Beach Pavilion from 8:00am - 9:30am for coffee, food and two chats: - A coaches chat with the TEMPR coaching team - A fuelling for performance chat with Emma Fielding, Head Dietitian at Carlton Football Club - race-day troubleshooting like caffeine, staying cool, cramping, emergency packs and keeping your gut happy on the carb load Ask any questions, enjoy some food, and meet other people racing. ______________________________________________________ RUN SHEET - SATURDAY 7 NOVEMBER Meet 7:15am for a 7:30am swim start - 20 minutes easy, dry off then head to the West Beach Pav to warm up with coffees, food and a coach chat. - Wetsuit swim off the beach at St Kilda (meet out the front of West Beach Pavilion) 8:00am - 9:30am - Coffee, food, coaches chat + fuelling chat at The Gallery, West Beach Pavilion WHAT TO BRING Wetsuit, goggles, swim cap. If water quality doesn't allow a swim, we'll cancel the swim and go straight to the venue for the chats, food and coffee. We'll make the call the day before and let everyone know.
