When Rhythm Meets Spirit with Anita + Jess

An Intuitive Drum Journey & Mediumship Experience What happens when rhythm meets spirit + and what messages might come through? Join Anita and Jess for a unique experience weaving together the grounding rhythm of the drum and the intuitive art of mediumship. We’ll begin by settling into the space together before Anita guides you into a drum journey, using rhythm to help you slow down, tune in and explore your own experience. As the journey unfolds, Jess will weave in her mediumship, sharing what she intuitively receives. You never know what impressions, connections or messages may emerge. We’ll come together at the end to gently close the experience. No two journeys are the same. Come curious, bring an open mind, and allow yourself to experience When Rhythm Meets Spirit. A little about your frequency holders: About Anita | The Storytelling Sherpa Anita is a drum journey facilitator, storyteller and shamanic practitioner who brings together rhythm, ritual and embodied experiences to create space for connection, reflection and self-discovery. Since 2016, Anita has been facilitating meditation gatherings and drum circles, sharing the drum as a pathway into presence, inner exploration and connection. Her experience includes working at Gaia Retreat & Spa, where she facilitated shamanic one-to-one sessions and cacao ceremonies, appearing as a guest facilitator at Willow Urban Retreat, and contributing to the monthly Self Care Series at Crystal Universe. She also hosts spiritual retreats in Bali and at the Bosnian Pyramids, guiding others through transformative experiences of connection, healing and spiritual discovery. Anita has also shared her drum sound journeys at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Brisbane in 2024 and 2026. Her work honours ancestral wisdom, the stories we carry and the possibilities that emerge when we slow down and listen. For Anita, the drum is more than an instrument + it is an invitation to journey inward, reconnect and discover what unfolds when we make space for the unknown. In May 2025, Anita has also been initiated in the Nine Directions of Bali, deepening her connection to ancient wisdom, spiritual practice and the sacred traditions of the island. Drawn to old books and the images within them, her curiosity blossomed into something more. This little mermaid had a gift for sensing what others could not see. It wasn’t until Jess completed her Reiki Mastership in later years that everything began to connect. Her magic had come alive, and suddenly, it all made sense. A psychic medium had returned. Jess has been conducting readings for over a decade, sharing her gifts at holistic Body, Mind and Soul expos and markets throughout Victoria. Through her work, Jess helps cleanse homes and schools, relay messages from spirit, and offer energy healing. Using her medicine drum, she has developed her own unique healing method, weaving together shamanic and galactic energies with the wisdom of the ancestors to create an unforgettable experience. With a deep connection to both spirit and the Earth, Jess brings these worlds together through her meditations. A hippie at heart, with the soul of a gypsy and the ocean at her fins, Jess radiates love, compassion and a little mermaid magic wherever she goes.
