YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND CLUB: Band Factory

YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND CLUB presents Band Factory: an immersive theatre-style competition night where strangers are assigned to a cult, invent a fictional band, rapper or musical act together and compete to convince the room theirs is the best. Get there early! Doors open at 7:30PM, but we recommend getting down from 7PM. The earlier you arrive, the more you might discover. Once inside, you'll be assigned to a cult, meet your teammates and decide whether to stick with them or trade your cult sticker. Trading closes at 8:25PM, then everyone heads upstairs for the competition. Your cult gets 30 minutes to invent a musical act, create its backstory, complete a classified dossier and design ONE item: a T-shirt, vinyl, CD or cassette. Get crafty, make art, invent stories or just enjoy the chaos. After the gallery walk, one teammate or your whole cult presents your creation and tries to convince the room it deserves to win. The best creation, backstory and presentation go head-to-head in a knockout tournament decided by cheers. Losing creations are destroyed. Shirts ripped, vinyl snapped, CDs and tapes smashed. ONE RELIC SURVIVES! The winning cult enters the Hall of Fame. COME ALONE, LEAVE WITH FRIENDS COME WITH FRIENDS, MAKE SOME ENEMIES IMPORTANT ARRIVAL WARNING You must be inside before 8:30PM. Doors close at 8:30PM and the event starts immediately. If you arrive after 8:30PM, you will miss the event. No late-arrival refunds.
