Plant Development has a long history at Kings Park, with a number of well-known plants sold in commercial nurseries and grown in home gardens, having originated from our Plant Development team across the past 43 years. Gain a better understanding of how plants are varied in cultivation and learn the secrets behind the development of the world-famous blue kangaroo paw. Please note: Not all of this event is actually behind the glasshouse doors! You will also be shown the Plant Development team's outdoor nursery and testing areas. Please wear comfortable, enclosed shoes, check the weather forecast and dress for the outdoors, including sun protection. This event visits operational facilities that pre-date current accessibility standards. The location is unsuitable for prams, wheelchairs and some other mobility aids - we regret that this may disappoint some prospective guests.
