Breakfast with Philip Tanean

Philip Tanean serves as one of the Elders of a church in Perth. He holds an engineering degree from Indonesia and a Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, USA. He also completed Graduate Diploma level studies in Christian Counselling and Family Therapy. Philip has a deep passion for bringing Biblical hope, healing, and restoration to people struggling with addiction, emotional wounds, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental and spiritual challenges. His ministry focuses on helping believers experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ through the renewing of the mind, the healing of the soul, and the work of the Holy Spirit. His desire is to see the power of God fully manifested in the Body of Christ, as believers walk in faith, accompanied by the signs Jesus promised, bringing healing, deliverance, restoration, and hope to individuals, families, and communities throughout the world. Philip is the author of Power to Act with Signs and Wonders and a series of Christian self-help books, Brain Mind · Soul — The Defeating Series, that integrates contemporary neuroscience, psychology, and biblical teaching to address the deep roots of common human struggles. Each volume explores how God renews the mind, restores emotional health, and transforms lives through the truth of Scripture, practical wisdom, and a Christ-centered understanding of human behaviour. Through these books, Philip seeks to equip readers to understand the connections between the brain, mind, soul, and spirit while discovering the freedom, healing, and new identity found in Jesus Christ. He is married and is blessed with two daughters, two sons-in-law, and a granddaughter.
