Celebrating First Nations Women 2026

First Nations Women's Gathering - Perth Date & Time: Wednesday, 9th December 2026, 12:00 - 2:00 PM Location: Waalitj Business Hub in Perth, Western Australia Ticket: Free for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women | $145 for non-Indigenous women About the Event: The First Nations Women’s Gathering 2026 is a women-only event to celebrate the resilience, leadership and cultural strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, and the allies who walk alongside us. Building on previous gatherings, this year we are creating a space for women to take a breath, celebrate each other and draw strength from our shared stories, culture and experiences. It is also an opportunity to build connections across community, business and leadership. Hosted by First Nations X as part of West Tech Fest, the Gathering will honour the women who have completed the HORIZON IMPACT BRIDGE WA 2026 program across Hedland, Newman, Bunbury and the South West. Many of these women are already running businesses, caring for community and leading projects for their people. Since 2024, HORIZON has supported close to 100 women across regional Australia. Through storytelling, deep yarning, cultural learning and participant showcases, we will reflect on what resilience looks like for First Nations women today, in business, in community and on Country. This event is supported by the West Australian Government through the New Industries and Innovation Fund, helping make these opportunities free for selected participants.
