Join Dr. Kit Prendergast, a native bee scientist, conservation biologist, and zoologist, for an engaging workshop on gardening for native bees. This adult education session focuses on plants and garden habitats that support our native bee pollinators.

Discover how to transform your garden into a thriving habitat for native bees. By enhancing your garden to meet the needs of these pollinators, you contribute to their survival and enrich your local environment. No garden is too small to make a difference, every effort counts! Together, we can raise awareness about the importance of pollinators and support their needs. What to expect Length 1 hour talk with time for questions Start time Event activities will start on time, but if you are running late, you may still join. Location Inside - Binjar Room Requirements None Type of event and expectations Adult learning space - guests are requested to turn phones to silent, where possible, remain seated for the duration of the event, be respectful to facilitator and attendees alike and exit discreetly when needed. This event is unlikely to be suitable for children. Accessibility Sitting, standing and walking. One ACROD parking bay is available at front of EcoHub, Rooms are located on multiple levels connected via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue. There are several bus stops just a 2-minute walk away from EcoHub which service multiple routes. EcoHub is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in Piney Lakes Reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Highway across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.
