Gillian O’Shaughnessy In Conversation with Michael Robotham

All Saints' College and Dymocks are pleased to present Gillian O'Shaughnessy In Conversation with Michael Robotham on Wednesday 28 October, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the Centre for Performing Arts at All Saints' College. Join Gillian O'Shaughnessy, one of Australia's most celebrated flash fiction writers and a highly respected journalist and broadcaster, as she sits down with internationally bestselling author Michael Robotham to discuss his highly anticipated new novel, Tell Me Something True. In a landmark moment for one of Australia's most acclaimed storytellers, Tell Me Something True is Michael Robotham's twentieth novel and the first to be set in Australia. Already being hailed as a future Australian classic, this powerful and deeply moving story blends mystery, family drama, coming-of-age storytelling and an unforgettable love story against the backdrop of a small Australian town haunted by secrets. After serving twelve years in prison, Arlo Hackett returns to his hometown of Yulara, a fading goldrush settlement on Australia's Great Southern Road. Branded by association with a terrible crime committed by his brother, Arlo discovers that time has done little to heal old wounds. As he faces hostility, suspicion and long-buried memories, he is forced to confront the truth about what happened all those years ago. What follows is a gripping and emotional journey through loyalty, loss, redemption and the enduring impact of a community's judgement. Praised by bestselling authors around the world, Tell Me Something True has already been described as "my book of the year" by Liz Nugent and "emotional, startling and beautifully crafted" by Val McDermid. Combining Robotham's trademark suspense with extraordinary heart and humanity, it is a novel that will stay with readers long after the final page. Books will be available for purchase on the evening, with an opportunity for audience members to have their copies signed following the event. Tickets: $20.00 per person Refund Policy: Refund requests must be received at least seven (7) working days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund.
