Learn More about Catalina Sustainable Home

Discover how thoughtful design and alternative construction methods can create a comfortable, energy-efficient home while reducing reliance on bricks. Join Griff Morris at Catalina Sustainable Home on Sunday 1 November at 9:30 am to explore how the home achieved a 10-star NatHERS energy rating using a combination of lightweight construction and isolated thermal mass. Griff will explain: • How internal brick and rammed limestone walls work alongside stud-framed walls to support year-round comfort. • How this approach reduced the number of bricks needed. • How constructing different wall types at the same time helped shorten the construction timeline. • Alternative materials and construction methods being explored in response to Perth’s current brick shortage. Places are limited, so book early to secure your spot. If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
