Meet Your Presenters: Dr April Armstrong is the Founder and Director of Business for Doctors and has been providing MBS education since 2017. She has presented at over 300 workshops, seminars, and conferences. April is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine with an academic AST and currently studying for her Masters at UNSW with plans to do a PhD in Medical Education. She continues to work as a locum General Practitioner as well as having her own practice in Western Australia. As a mentor to medical practitioners, practice managers and nurses who have become MBS tutors she continues to be passionate about the "Business of Medicine" and provides regular updates on MBS changes via social media. Young Han is a Certified Practising Accountant with 18 years’ experience in medical specialist accounting and Medical business advisory. Young also completed Graduate diploma in financial planning so that she can provide practical advice that makes difference to financial journey. Young helps clinicians run financially healthy medical businesses by combining data-driven analysis, tax expertise, and practical billing compliance. As a“financial GP”, Young completes financial health assessment and create a care plan and coordinate specialist advisers so doctors can achieve their financial goals without sacrificing work–life balance. Young is strong advocate for MBS education and improving financial literacy for medical professionals by interpreting MBS knowledge in financial sustainability and compliance requirements. Young is a mother of 2 young kids, 2 furbabies and life/business partner of husband's construction business. Where she can find time she enjoys playing piano and violin, gardening and camping in the nature. Young wants to spend more time for charity work to empower those helping others. Young started presenting MBS education for BFD as the only non clinician presenter since 2020. Dr Tara Hamilton is a Practice Owner and General Practitioner based in Kalbarri, Western Australia. She graduated from University of Notre Dame in 2015 and is now busy running two practices and caring for the Kalbarri and Northampton communities in Western Australia. Dr Tara is passionate about holistic medicine and balancing the finances of her business. Business for Doctors has been monumental in seeing her thrive in her dynamic role and she wishes to inspire her colleagues to become more focussed practitioners in this field of medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr Tara loves spending time with her family at the beach in Kalbarri, going on rock lobster ocean adventures, and planning her annual Hamilton family cruise overseas.
