The Modern Village Playgroup – 8 Week Term A relaxed, nature-based playgroup for mums and little ones. This space has been created with a simple intention, to offer something slower, softer, and more connected. Running as a 8-week term, this is about coming back to the same space each week. Letting familiarity build, conversations deepen, and connections naturally grow into real friendships over time. For little ones, it’s a chance to explore through sensory, nature-based play. To get messy, be curious, and engage with the world around them in an open, unstructured way. For mums, it’s an opportunity to pause, connect, and build relationships with other women in a similar season. The kind of connections that feel easy, supportive, and grow stronger simply by showing up week after week. Term 3 Details 📅 Wednesdays 21st Oct 28th Oct 4th Nov 11th Nov 25th Nov 2nd Dec 9th Dec 16th Dec (Note - No session 18th of November) 🕘 9:30am – 11:30am 📍North Shore Country Club, Kallaroo - Outdoors by the playground, What to Expect Each week will include: Nature-based sensory play (sometimes messy, bring a change of clothes) Bubbles, parachute games & playground time Simple creative play (like painting) A calm tablespace for parents to sit and chat Optional oracle cards and gentle connection prompts A short story and song to close The first hour is spent exploring, and participating in the activities for the week. The second hour has more structured activities (however if your child/ren prefer to continue playing this is more than welcome) starting with our shared fruit platter and finishing with some group games and help packing away all the fun. The venue does not allow outside food, however has allowed ups to prepare a community fruit platter each week. We ask all attending to bring a piece of fruit to share. This will be cut up by the children with support from parents and enjoyed together. The cafe on site is very well priced you can see their menu attached below. Seasonal Note As we move into spring, we’ll continue to gather outdoors. As ths is an nature play based group there is no indoor space for activities, so please come dressed for the weather, layers, wet weather gear, and a sense of adventure are all welcome. If it’s wet, we’ll embrace it as part of the play experience (unless weather conditions are unsafe). The Intention This isn’t about structured activities or rushing from one thing to the next. It’s about creating a consistent space where both you and your child can settle, connect, and simply be. A place where familiar faces become friends, and over time, a village begins to form. A little about me.. Hi, I’m Loren. I’ve spent many years working with children across early years and primary settings, including extensive experience supporting children with additional needs. Creating spaces where all children feel safe, included, and able to be themselves is something I care deeply about. This is a space where all children and adults are welcome, included, and supported. Over time, I’ve seen how powerful it is when parents find each other. People who truly get the season they’re in. The small conversations that become friendships, the sense of being understood, and realising you don’t have to do it all alone. That’s a big part of why this space exists. Alongside my work with children, I also hold space for women in more emotional and spiritual ways, and I naturally bring a little of that into this space too, through gentle touches like creativity, reflection, and optional oracle cards. At its heart, this playgroup is about connection. For your child, for you, and for something that can grow into a sense of community over time.
