Pockets of Pleasure: A Reading Group (Residency Program 2026–27: Lillian Colgan)

Please join us for a reading group hosted by Lillian Colgan, run throughout her residency—the third of four in our 2026–27 Residency Program. Free All welcome! From adrienne maree brown’s Emergent Strategy to Audre Lorde’s Uses of The Erotic: The Erotic as Power, the reading group will centre on themes of queerness, feminism, pleasure, and political resistance in an increasingly inhospitable world. Across three sessions, participants will read, discuss and make together, following threads of inquiry shaped by the group’s conversations and interests. This program is proudly supported by the WA Government. Cool Change is supported by the Visual Art, Craft and Design Framework, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.
