RHINOCEROS - presented by Campfire! Theatre Co.

Campfire! Theatre Company presents a gothic, cinematic reimaging of Eugene Ionesco’s classic story. A small European town is inextricably inundated with a blight of people transforming into rampaging rhinoceros, leaving the remaining humans to handle the situation before they themselves transform. Rhinoceros challenges audiences to see what it means to stand against conformity to an idea that is destructive, evil, and ultimately vampiric. Inspired by gothic cinema and the German expressionist movement, Rhinoceros looks to offer audiences a fresh, unnerving take on Ionesco’s classic Absurdist form. For fans of Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, or horned mammals, Rhinoceros welcomes you. This production opens at the Hayman Theatre on Curtin's Bentley campus on November 15th and closes on the 21st. Seating is not assigned, and latecomers will be turned away or told to wait for intermission. Wheelchair-accessible ramps and seating included at the venue.
