10.00am DOORS OPEN for 10.30am START Join facilitator Jeannie Williams from Consumers of Mental Health WA (CoMHWA) for a workshop on Self Advocacy for those experiencing or living with mental health covering: • What self-advocacy is, and how it is connected to mental health • What your mental healthcare rights are and how to use them • How knowing about self-advocacy and mental healthcare rights can make you feel more empowered • How to use a self-advocacy guide • Why it is important to maintain your wellbeing while self-advocating Jeannie’s lived experience as a transgender woman and someone who has faced mental health challenges has fuelled her commitment to dismantling stigma and fostering a more inclusive society.
