Term 3: Nests and Hollows

Session moved from 5 August. 🌳 What stories are hidden inside a tree? Join us for Nests & Hollows, a nature-inspired session exploring the incredible homes created by trees and the creatures that depend on them. From carefully woven nests to cosy tree hollows, children will discover how trees provide food, shelter and habitats for birds, possums, insects and other wildlife. Through open-ended invitations, children will have opportunities to investigate natural materials, explore habitats, create, imagine and ask questions about the living world around them. We’ll explore ideas around: • Birds, feathers and nests • Trees, hollows and habitats • Local wildlife and the homes they need • Nature investigation and early science • Creative and sensory exploration • Caring for our trees and Country Inspired by the forests and bushlands of Western Australia, this session encourages curiosity, connection and a growing sense of care for the natural world.
