The Batsman & the Bowler

One took 355 Test wickets and held the world record. The other captained Australia 28 times and remains the only player to hit a six on all five days of a Test. Both made the WACA their home, and both have a piece of it named in their honour: the Lillee-Marsh Stand and the Kim Hughes Room. Now, for the first time in decades, they share a stage on home turf. Join us for two hours of stories you won't hear anywhere else, hosted by Glen Quartermaine. Expect candour, humour and tales from the dressing room that have never made the papers. 355 Test wickets. 28 Tests as captain. One conversation, forty years in the making. The night supports Bouncing Back with Kim Hughes, a seven-book series that teaches young people resilience through cricket. Bid in the live auction, take home signed memorabilia, or sponsor one of the seven books and put your name to a story that will reach classrooms across Australia.
