VPCC -Activism Against Violence in WA - SELF DEFENCE workshop- Events@VPCC

This beginner-friendly session introduces practical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques in a safe and supportive environment while highlighting the importance of confidence, self-awareness, healthy boundaries and community connection. Participants will discover how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can help develop: • Confidence and self-belief • Respect and teamwork • Emotional regulation and resilience • Practical self-defence awareness • Physical and mental wellbeing Suitable for ages 7+, with families encouraged to participate together. No previous experience is required—just wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. This workshop supports the campaign's vision of creating communities where everyone can play their part in preventing violence by fostering respect, inclusion and positive relationships.
