2026 Year 5 Father Daughter Bush Dance Get your hands clapping and your toes tapping at the 2026 Year 5 Father Daughter Bush Dance! Dads and daughters are warmly invited to an evening of fun, friendship and fancy footwork in the Junior School. This much-loved Year 5 tradition is a wonderful opportunity for girls and the important men in their lives to share an evening of laughter, connection and community. Thursday 17 September 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm Everett Hall, Junior School Costumes for both dads and daughters are encouraged. There will be no cost for attending the event. Please RSVP by Thursday 10 September for catering purposes. Important Information Whilst this event has been designed for fathers and daughters, we understand that this is not possible for all families. Girls are very welcome to bring another significant father figure in their life, such as a grandfather, uncle, stepfather or family friend. Limited to one adult per student. Supper for the Father Daughter Bush Dance In the spirit of a community bush dance, we ask each family to bring a dinner-sized plate of food to be shared as supper. Please bring your food on a disposable plate, include a list of ingredients and ensure items are ready to serve, with no refrigeration or heating required. The food items have been divided into classes as follows: • 5G: Please bring a plate of savoury food. • 5O: Please bring a plate of savoury food. • 5L: Please bring a plate of sweet food. • 5D: Please bring a plate of fruit. In addition, all fathers and daughters are asked to bring a labelled water bottle and a disposable plate for supper. If your daughter or her accompanying adult has food allergies or dietary requirements, please bring food that you know is suitable for you to enjoy, clearly labelled with your name. On the Night Please bring your plate to the tables near Bundarra Lawn before entering Everett Hall through the Reception Foyer. In previous years there has been plenty of food left over, so please feel free to take home some goodies for a late snack or lunchboxes the following day. Please arrive by 6.15 pm to allow for a prompt start to the evening. Photographer Anthony Khoury will be in the foyer at Everett Hall taking photos as bush dancers arrive, so fathers and daughters are encouraged to dress in costume for the occasion.Families are welcome to take photographs of their own daughter on the evening. We ask that photographs or videos of other students are not taken or shared to ensure the privacy and safety of all members of our community.
