The Five Ingredients of Ale Dinner is The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel's marquee event that celebrates the building blocks of beer through five distinct courses each taking inspiration from the five ingredients that make our ales possible; malted barley, rye, hops, yeast and water. This year is our anniversary edition of The Five Ingredients of Ale Dinner as we celebrate The Lord's 40th year of brewing on site in our micro-brewery, nestled between the sandstone walls. For four decades, our brewers have remained committed to the art of exceptional brewing, using quality, natural ingredients to craft 100% natural and unpasteurised ales with character, depth and a true sense of place, right here in Sydney, Australia. As part of Sydney Beer Week 2026, this exclusive five-course dinner, each paired with a different ale and hosted by our ambassadors and Head Brewer, invites you to experience the five ingredients of ale in an entirely new way. Each course has been thoughtfully designed by our culinary team to showcase the personality of these ingredients beyond the glass, creating bold and unexpected connections between brewing and food.
