All About Art: State of the Arts

Ace Hotel x Art Pharmacy Present: All About Art Series 3, State of the Arts Art Pharmacy is Australia's leading art and placemaking consultancy and the world's first arts and culture B-Corp. For over 20 years we have worked with developers, architects, councils and corporate clients to embed art into the buildings and public spaces where people actually spend their lives. All About Art is our conversation series and this is our third and final evening. Learn more at artpharmacy.com.au Public art, live music, a city that's alive after dark. Someone pays for all of it and someone makes the rules. This is a conversation with the people who do both. State of the Arts closes out our three-part series with the broadest conversation yet: arts funding, public policy and who really gets a say in what gets made. The sculpture in the plaza, the mural on the hoarding, the live music spilling out of a venue that only exists because a rule changed. Almost none of it happens by accident. Hosted by Emilya Colliver, Founder and CEO of Art Pharmacy, this panel brings together voices who have worked with government, media and the cultural sector: Luke Hawthorne, President of the Copyright Society of Australia and Senior Associate at Mallesons. A leading litigator in copyright strategy and a pro bono advocate for First Nations artists and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property. Further panellists to be announced soon. Join us with a drink in hand for a candid conversation on who funds Sydney's culture, who makes the decisions and the impact this has. This is the final event in our three-part series presented by Art Pharmacy in partnership with Ace Hotel Sydney. Missed the first two evenings?
