Bird Walk and Talk ‒ Cumberland Bird Observers Club

Join expert birdwatchers for a relaxed Bird Walk and Talk through Field of Mars Reserve and along the beautiful Lane Cove River. Discover the birds that live in our neighbourhood, learn how to identify them and hear fascinating insights from experienced birdwatchers. Whether you're a keen birder or a beginner, everyone is welcome. The walk begins at the Field of Mars Reserve car park in East Ryde, before heading on foot along Buffalo Creek to the Lane Cove River just south of the reserve. All ages and experience levels welcome! Come along, explore the bush and discover the incredible birdlife right on our doorstep. Hosted by the Parramatta River Catchment Group in partnership with the Cumberland Bird Observers Club, this event is part of Riverfest ‒ celebrating the Parramatta River and its surrounds.
