About this event
Lynne and Roxy host a discussion where they take opposite sides on whether loving an artist's music requires condoning their actions. Attendees bring their playlists and ethical dilemmas to the Neighbourhood Philosophy Club event, which does not require a philosophy degree.
Full description from organizerShow less
Their songs are a soundtrack to our life, recalling some of our best moments. But it turns out the artist is someone who has said or done something that we can’t condone. Does that change how the song sounds? Is pressing play a kind of endorsement? And does it matter if the artist is long dead, or still earning from every stream? Lynne and Roxy take opposite sides, then it’s over to you. Bring your playlist, and your ethical dilemmas. No philosophy degree required, just your curiosity (and perhaps a drink).
