Dymocks Luncheon for Jonathan Biggins

Well-known actor and comic genius, Jonathan Biggins talks about his first novel Near Death in Venice. Many will know him from his hilarious work in the Wharf Review and for his stage show The Gospel According to Paul. Tristan Barclay, art historian and tour leader, is reluctantly embarking on his last tour of Europe. He is secretly planning a ‘grand gesture’ for his final bow. One that will shock the world. A group of his older travellers, with an average age approaching seventy but a surprisingly diverse skillset, sign on to help - and find themselves caught up in a high-stakes heist where danger lurks around every ornate column. Near Death in Venice is set in the great art galleries of Europe. Sparkling dialogue, glorious settings and a riveting, laugh-out-loud, twist-filled plot make this novel a delight from start to finish.
