Recipient of the Archibald Prize, The Sir John Sulman Prize, the NSW Parliament En Plein Air Painting Prize, the Tattersall's Club Landscape Prize, the Gallipoli Prize and the Dobell Drawing Prize, Euan Macleod's role as one of Australia's foremost critical painters of landscape and figure, is well established. Join us at the gallery on October 31, In Conversation with Euan, on the development of his new exhibition and his career, to date. In Macleod’s schema, the non-human world—with its sheltering cave and zig-zag stream, its whiplash sea and howling light—has a vital, overarching and at times excoriating role to play.
