FASHIONING CHANGE Documentary Premiere & Screening An evening of storytelling, connection and meaningful change. Join us at the Museum of Sydney for the exclusive launch of Fashioning Change — a powerful documentary celebrating First Nations women's leadership, creativity, sustainability and the extraordinary social impact of community-led enterprise and circular fashion in remote Australia. Enjoy an evening of drinks, canapés, documentary storytelling and thought-provoking conversation, bringing together leaders from business, philanthropy, sustainability and the social impact sector. One story. Two worlds. A different perspective on fashion and change. Fashioning Change is part of You Can't Do That in the Bush!, a short-form documentary series produced by Blue Clay Creatives, celebrating the bold ideas, grassroots innovation and inspiring people driving change across regional and remote Australia. The series challenges perceptions of what's possible beyond our major cities, shining a light on remarkable stories of leadership, creativity and innovation that might otherwise go untold. Through powerful storytelling, it connects audiences with the people and communities developing solutions to some of Australia's most pressing social and environmental challenges. What if fashion excess could be reimagined as opportunity? Fashioning Change takes audiences on a journey from Australia's urban fashion landscape to Urapunga, a remote First Nations community in the Northern Territory, where women are transforming clothing into creativity, confidence, cultural expression and local enterprise. Through the lens of a community-led upcycling workshop and fashion show, the documentary celebrates the women and young people who are reimagining pre-loved clothing into new designs inspired by Country, culture and community. At the heart of the story is the Remote OpShop Project, an Australian charity that has spent more than a decade working alongside remote First Nations communities to improve access to essential goods, support local enterprise and create lasting opportunities through community leadership and self-determination. More than a story about clothing, Fashioning Change explores the intersection of circular fashion, social impact and First Nations leadership — and how innovative, community-led solutions can create lasting change. An evening to connect, celebrate and be inspired Guests will be welcomed with drinks and canapés before enjoying a special screening of Fashioning Change. The evening will feature: • Exclusive documentary screening — Be among the first to experience this inspiring story on the big screen. • Meet the women of Urapunga — Joining us in Sydney for this special evening, the First Nations women at the heart of Fashioning Change will share in the celebration of their stories, creativity and leadership, offering guests a unique opportunity to meet the women behind the documentary. • Panel discussion — An engaging conversation exploring circular fashion, social impact, First Nations enterprise and the power of community-led solutions. • Audience Q&A — An opportunity to explore the stories, challenges and possibilities behind the film. • Drinks, canapés and networking — Connect with like-minded leaders, changemakers, filmmakers and supporters from across business, philanthropy, government and the social impact sector Event details Wednesday 25 November 2026 From 5:30 pm — Welcome drinks and canapés Museum of Sydney Corner Phillip and Bridge Streets, Sydney NSW 2000 Complimentary event | By invitation only Places are limited and registration is essential.
