Hello, Please Note Upcoming Changes to Community and Non-UNSW Student Hours and Tickets: This will prioritise UNSW students and make it more efficient and less waiting times for UNSW students to access Food Hub. The whole sessions are for UNSW students and welcoming to members of our community after the first 45 minutes. The first 45 mins of each session will now be for only UNSW students. Community members and non-UNSW students will be welcome to join them during the following times: • Mondays & Wednesdays: 2:45pm to 4:00pm • Tuesdays (Paddington campus) & Fridays: 12:45pm to 2:00pm We will also be adding a different ticketing option for community members/ non-UNSW students. Please Read This Carefully so you know what to expect: FOOD HUB STEP BY STEP • Register your spot online via the Arc website or QR code on site (or this humanitix site you're on right now) • Bring bags and containers to carry your items • Enter through the front - you may need to line up first. Do not enter in the exit. • Check in at the front with your QR code sent to you via email • Please follow the arrows through the door and retrieve items that you need at each step. Volunteers will be there to help you receive rice, dry goods, bread and so on. • Please follow the limit signs on the front of the items. If you cannot see how many to take, you can ask a volunteer for help. The limits are there so that we can offer food to everyone who comes through our doors, not just a lucky few. • Travel in one direction as this really helps us manage the crowd and keep it flowing so that we can keep supporting anywhere from 200-550 attendees per session • Be patient and kind - consider that many others are here for the same things as you • A thank you to our volunteers goes a long way - they are dedicated to keeping Food Hub running and we couldn't do it without them • Once you have exited, please take care, and move on to make a smooth and easy exit for everyone. • When you get home, please store your produce and other items carefully to help them last longer - many items will be ready to eat on the day of collection. THINGS TO BRING: • Bags, there is plenty of food, so make sure you have enough bags to carry food. • Small reusable containers for bulk food items like Flour, Sugar, Rice, etc. • Containers, make sure you bring containers, this is not a typo, it is emphasis • A little patience; the line can be long, but it is worth the wait. • Finally, make sure you've brought along some containers because some people still don't bring containers. Food Hub is located on the ground floor of University Terraces apartments. We are near Guzman-y-Gomez and accessible from the 370 bus and T3 Kensington Light rail line. You can collect a bundle of perishable and non-perishable food items at these times: • Monday 2PM - 4PM • Wednesday 2PM - 4PM • Friday 12PM - 2PM If you have any questions, feel free to email: [email protected]
