Full description from organizerShow less
An opportunity for JCN's Lighthouse community - Jews who work in climate - to come together and learn from the best over dinner and drinks at the pub. Data centres are multiplying across Australia, and their appetite for electricity is reshaping the grid faster than most planning models anticipated. Allison Reeves, energy expert at the Grattan Institute, will unpack what this surge in demand means for our energy transition and whether it ends up competing with households for clean power or helping drive the investment needed to deliver it. When: Thursday, 22nd of October, 6pm Where: At a pub in Surry Hills (exact address to be provided to participants in advance of the event) Speaker: Alison Reeve - Energy and Climate Change Program Director, Grattan Institute
