LIPS Inc: SPRING FLING 🌼🐝💋 Spring has sprung, the bees are buzzing and LIPS Inc is back at Stonewall Newtown on Saturday 26 September for a bright, cheeky SPRING FLING! LIPS Inc is our Queer Girls’ Night — a welcoming party for lesbians, queer women, trans and gender-diverse folk, and the friends and allies who love celebrating with us. Expect great music, drag, dancing, laughs and a room full of queer community energy. This month we’re shaking off winter with DJs Billie Baddie + DJ GK, hosted by the wonderfully unhinged Space Horse, with live performances from Space Horse and Drag King Rufus McLucas. 🌼 MEET THE LINE-UP SPACE HORSE — Host + Performer Sydney drag favourite Space Horse has been performing since 2017 and has become a fixture of the Sydney scene, known for camp comedy, big personality and gloriously unpredictable drag. A 2024 DIVA Rising Star winner, she’s the perfect person to steer our Spring Fling into beautifully ridiculous territory. BILLIE BADDIE — DJ Sydney party-starter Billie Baddie knows exactly how to get a dancefloor moving. A regular behind the decks at Newtown Hotel, expect party bangers, pop favourites, throwbacks and plenty of tracks you’ll know well enough to sing far too loudly. DJ GK — DJ A familiar name across Sydney’s queer club circuit, DJ GK has played parties including FLASH and Medusa and was nominated in the Sydney’s Most Popular DJ category at the DIVA Awards. Expect a set built for dancing rather than standing around looking mysterious near the bar. RUFUS McLUCAS — Drag King Performance Rugged, playful and packed with charisma, Rufus McLucas is part of Sydney’s growing Drag King scene, bringing masculine swagger, humour and a healthy dose of mischief to the stage. Come for a drink, stay for a dance, meet some new people and celebrate the beginning of spring with us. Spring fever is real. We recommend dancing through it. 🐝🌼💋
