Join us as the sun sets over the Parramatta River, while enjoying light refreshments at The Connection, built on the former site of the Union Carbide chemical factory. Discover the industrial heritage of Rhodes and the other suburbs along the Parramatta River as John Johnson, Local Studies Librarian, shares fascinating images and maps from our local history collection. You’ll uncover surprising stories and little-known facts about the places we call home. Hear how these industrial hubs have transformed over time to become home to the City of Canada Bay’s growing and diverse population. About the event 6pm - Light refreshments 6:30 - 7:45pm - Talk and audience questions
