NSW: Audio Storytelling & Podcasting Intro Workshop

Audio is one of the most intimate storytelling mediums there is. A voice in your ear, a story well told, a question that makes someone pause and really think. This workshop gives you the skills to make that happen. Whether you're planning your first podcast episode, want to document stories from your community, or just want to understand what makes audio so powerful, you'll leave with practical tools and real hands-on experience. No prior experience needed. Bring your smartphone and your stories. What we'll cover • The art of listening: how to ask questions that make people open up • Story structure: what makes audio compelling, emotional, and memorable • Recording great quality audio using just your smartphone or other tools at your disposal • Editing basics using free, accessible tools like Audacity What you'll leave with • Tools for planning compelling audio stories • Hands-on experience in interviewing, recording, and editing • A clear path forward, whether that's episode one of your podcast or the start of something bigger Who is this for?
